Greenwood Technical Services has its origins deep in the Multi-Layer Co-Extrusion and High Quality Shelf Stable packaging technology of the Lamipac business started by Metal Box in the early 1980’s, Greenwood Technical Services founder, Charles Greenwood was involved at the R & D centre at Wantage, Oxon, where he assisted in bringing the development equipment into a full production system, helping to train the new production team ready for the installation of this cutting edge technology at the Perry Wood site in Worcester.

Since then Charles has Managed both Extrusion and Thermoforming departments and progressed to a Senior Production Managers position within a large National packaging company

Greenwood Technical Services was set up in answer to the needs of industry not only within the UK but ‘World Wide’, specialising in the moving of plant and equipment, contract crane and lifting services, transportation, factory relocation, machine movers, ‘Turn Key’ installations, automation and modifications to existing lines, design and development of new equipments such as sheet stackers, roll winders and edge trim puller/guillotine systems and design and build of control panels.

In addition to these services we are able to support companies with ‘New Business Start-up’ Consultancy/Project management, where we work closely with the client to establish a new business, or revive a more established business, overseeing the complete project from initial site evaluation, identifying new or pre-owned equipments, installation and commissioning, employing the management team and staff, also training them in high moral and ethical business values and principles, practical ‘on the job’ training and setting up all quality and management procedures as required in a modern business.

We also have two main agencies to supply equipment to the Plastics Industry;

Firstly, PSI Polymer Systems Inc. who are the very best in the manufacture and supply of such equipments as Polymer Filtration systems, Gear pumps, Static mixers, Chemical pumps and Divert valves.

We also represent Weckenmann Anlagentechnik GmbH who manufacture a Heavy duty Sheet Granulator that is extremely quiet and robust and exceptionally easy to work on, it is more than capable of granulating 15-18mm PP and HDPE sheet, through-put is around 1.2 tonnes per hour.
